Staying in Control While You Play at Winna
Gambling should stay a paid-for form of entertainment, never a way to make money or win back losses. This page sets out what you can do before and during play, the self-exclusion route Winna publishes, and where UK readers can get help. Winna’s age controls require players to be 18 or older.
Signs That Play Is Getting Out of Hand
Spot the pattern early. Common warning signs include:
- staying longer or spending more than you planned;
- chasing losses with larger or faster bets;
- thinking about gambling during work, study or time with family;
- topping up the balance again after promising yourself you would stop;
- hiding how much you play from people close to you;
- feeling restless or irritable when you cannot play;
- using money meant for rent, bills or food.
One sign does not prove a problem. Several together are a reason to pause and talk to someone.
Set Limits Before the First Deposit
Decide the rules while you are calm, not in the middle of a session.
- A fixed budget. Pick an amount you could lose without affecting your bills, and treat it as spent once it is gone.
- A time boundary. Choose how long a session lasts and stop when it ends.
- A rule for wins. Decide in advance what you will do with a win, rather than putting it straight back into play.
- No chasing. A losing streak does not make a win more likely next time.
Winna runs a crypto cashier, so a deposit is a transfer of coins whose value can move. A workable cashier rule: write your budget in pounds first, buy only that amount through Buy Crypto, which has a USD 5 (£3.77) minimum, and do not top up a second time in the same session.
Rewards and Spending
VIP levels at Winna are based on the total amount bet. Bronze starts at USD 1,000 (£754), and the top level, Nebula, begins above USD 100,000,000 (£75,377,000). A higher level unlocks more rewards, but it also means more money has gone through your account. Do not raise your stakes to reach a level or to qualify for an offer.
Some offers carry conditions tied to your own activity. Free Spins, for example, need a minimum of USD 1,500 (£1,131) bet during the period, and Free Bets need USD 10,000 (£7,538) staked over 30 days. Treat them as conditions, not as targets to chase.
Self-Exclusion at Winna
Winna publishes a self-exclusion process. The route is:
- Log in and open Your Profile.
- Go to Winna Cares and expand Self-Exclusion.
- Under “Take a break from”, select the category you want to exclude yourself from.
- Tick every acknowledgement box. The Send Email Confirmation button becomes available only when all of them are ticked.
- Click Send Email Confirmation and follow the instructions in the e-mail.
After you confirm, you cannot place bets in the selected category, so choose the category that matches the play you want to stop. The 24-hour cooldown starts immediately on confirmation and cannot be cancelled, so read each box before you tick it.
You can also ask for self-exclusion by e-mailing Winna support or using the live support chat on the site.
Decisions You Cannot Undo
Crypto transfers are final in ways card payments are not. Swaps inside a Winna account are final, and the rate can move before you confirm. A withdrawal sent to a wrong address or network may mean permanent loss of funds. That is reason enough never to move money while you are tired, upset or trying to win something back. If you feel the urge to deposit again straight after a loss, step away first and decide the next day.
Protecting Your Account and Your Money
Two-factor authentication adds a code at every login; the code refreshes every 30 seconds and works once. It is set up under Security in User Settings with Google Authenticator or Authy. Official Winna messages come only from Winna’s own domain. Unexpected prize claims, requests for one-time codes and urgent “verify your account” messages are red flags.
Barriers outside the casino help too. Consider keeping crypto for gambling in a separate wallet, removing saved addresses from devices you use when you are tired or upset, and asking a trusted person to hold you to your budget.
Getting Help in the United Kingdom
The GamCare National Gambling Helpline is on 0808 8020 133. Call it about your own gambling or someone else’s.
If gambling is causing you distress, or you are thinking about harming yourself, speak to your GP straight away.
Supporting Someone Else
If you are worried about a friend or family member, choose a calm moment and talk without blame. Describe what you have seen, listen and encourage them to use the helpline above. Protect your own money: do not lend to cover gambling debts and do not share your own account details.
Minors
Gambling is for adults only. If a child or young person has access to your devices, keep your login details and authenticator app private, and log out on shared devices.
Reading This Site Responsibly
Our pages describe rewards and features as the operator publishes them. They are not encouragement to gamble, and no offer is worth playing for if it leads you to spend more than you planned. Our editorial team can be reached at [email protected], but that address is not a counselling service. For support, use the helpline above.
