Privacy Notice
Effective date: 15 October 2026
This notice explains how the independent Winna information site handles personal data about visitors in the United Kingdom. It applies to this site only. It does not cover the casino itself, which has its own account system and its own privacy arrangements.
Who Is Responsible for Your Data
The editorial team of this site acts as the controller for the personal data described below. We are not Winna, we do not operate a player account area and we never ask for casino login details. The casino operator is a separate organisation and decides for itself how it handles the data you give it when you register or play.
The contact route for any privacy question is [email protected].
What We Collect
We keep collection small. Depending on how you use the site, we may handle the data below.
| Kind of data | Examples | How it reaches us |
|---|---|---|
| Messages you send | Your e-mail address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message | You write to the editorial address |
| Technical data | IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page and time of visit | Your browser sends it when a page loads |
| Cookie and similar data | Identifiers that remember a setting or measure visits | Set by the site or by a service it uses, after the choice described below |
We do not ask for payment details, passwords, identity documents or crypto wallet addresses, and we ask you not to send them. Nothing on this site needs them.
We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18. The casino covered by our guides requires players to be 18 or older, and the site is written for adults.
Why We Use Data and on What Basis
Under UK data protection law we need a lawful basis for each use.
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Answering a message or a correction request | Legitimate interests: replying is the reason you wrote |
| Keeping the site running, secure and free of abuse | Legitimate interests: protecting the service and its readers |
| Understanding which pages are read so we can improve them | Consent, where the tool needs a cookie or similar identifier |
| Meeting a legal duty, such as responding to a lawful request | Legal obligation |
We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell personal data.
Cookies
Some cookies are needed for the site to load and to remember your cookie choice. Others, such as those used to measure visits, are optional. When the site shows a cookie choice, optional cookies are set only if you accept them, and you can change or withdraw that choice later. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site may then display less smoothly.
Who Receives Your Data
Data may be handled by providers that help us run the site: hosting, security, analytics where you have agreed to it, and e-mail. They act on our instructions and may use the data only for that service.
Our pages link to Winna and to other outside websites. When you follow a link, the other site collects its own data under its own policy, and this notice stops applying. We do not pass your message or technical data to the casino.
We may disclose data where the law requires it or where it is needed to protect the site against misuse.
Transfers Outside the UK
Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on a transfer safeguard recognised by UK law, such as an adequacy decision or approved contract terms, so that your data keeps comparable protection.
How Long We Keep Data
We keep data only for as long as the purpose requires. A message and our reply are kept while we deal with your request and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you follow up. Technical logs are kept for security and are then deleted or anonymised. Cookie-based analytics data is kept for the life of the tool’s settings. If the law requires us to hold something longer, we keep it for that period.
How We Protect Data
We limit access to the editorial team and our service providers, use secure connections for the site and review the access we grant. No online service can promise absolute security, so keep sensitive details out of any message you send us.
Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to erase data in the cases the law allows;
- ask us to restrict how we use data;
- object to use based on legitimate interests;
- receive data you gave us in a portable format, where that right applies;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting use before you withdrew it.
To use any of these, write to [email protected] and say which right you want. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it. We answer within the time the law sets, which is normally one month from the point we can confirm who you are.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection authority, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to This Notice
When our practices change, we update this notice and move the effective date at the top. The version on the site is always the current one. We state any material change to how we use your data clearly on the page.
Reaching Us About Your Data
